Prospective Student Transfer Requirements

All students who desire to change their major whether or not they currently meeth the change of major criteria are required to attent a Change of Major Conference. For more information, click here .

Change of Major Conference

Internal Transfer

2.5 Cumulative GPA
Completion of ECON 202 and 203 with a grade C or better AND an Economics GPA of 3.0
Completion of MATH 141 and 142 (or higher) with a grade C or better AND a Mathematics GPA of 2.5
90 hours or fewer
Attend mandatory Change of Major Conference

External Transfer (from an Outside Institution)

3.0 Cumulative GPA
Completion of ECON 202 and 203 with a grade C or better AND an Economics GPA of 3.0
Completion of MATH 141 (TCCNS MATH 1324) and 142 (TCCNS MATH 1325) (or higher) with a grade C or better AND a Mathematics GPA of 2.5
As of Fall 2014 Math 1324 and 1325 will only be accepted from a select list of community colleges in the state of Texas. Please contact an Academic Advisor for more information
